Psychoanalysis ◊ Literature
Horror, Terror, Anguish and Sinister in the Current Subjectivity (PARTE I)
Keywords:
Literature, Psychoanalysis, Horror, Terror, Current subjectivityAbstract
We will introduce a series of notions that psychoanalysis contributes to the understanding of the human soul in what has been called “affects or emotions,” especially those related to horror, terror, sinisterness and anguish. The title proposes an articulation between the terms psychoanalysis and literature via the logical symbol of the losange ◊ which implies a relationship of alienation and separation between the two terms, but also fertility in the union of them. It happens that psychoanalysis is born from the traces of a Freud reader who pushes forward through places where medicine finds its limits and of which literature gives an account. A proposal made in the present tense while the correlation of forces of the aforementioned disciplines remains the same. The contributions of psychoanalysis are taken from literature, and psychoanalysis will account for the aforementioned emotions using literature and influencing it.
