La Divulgación Significativa: un enfoque antropológico-histórico de la Interpretación Patrimonial.

Resumen

Se analizan discusiones recientes, en el actual
contexto de iniciativas descolonizadoras e inclusivas,
sobre la pertinencia de la interpretación
patrimonial para el patrimonio reconocido tanto
por las comunidades como por el postulado institucionalmente.
Proponemos que la interpretación
patrimonial sigue siendo relevante, en particular
si se desarrolla a partir de un enfoque antropológico-
histórico y una visión intercultural como
la que ofrece la “Divulgación Significativa”. Esta
es una variante de la interpretación temática de
Ham apoyada en la museología centrada en los
públicos. A partir de un concepto antropológico-histórico
de los patrimonios, es factible proponer una la
interpretación patrimonial que promueva que la ciudadanía comprenda y disfrute más profundamente
los beneficios que el patrimonio nos
ofrece. En particular, los aportes de la antropología
y la historia pueden ayudarnos a combatir
el etnocentrismo y el cronocentrismo que están
detrás de muchas formas de discriminación y de
discursos supremacistas y colonializadores. El
presente texto presenta las características generales
de ese enfoque, así como su relación con
la interpretación intercultural.

Abstract
In this text we analyze some current discussions,
in the context of more inclusive and decolonizing
initiatives, that challenge the pertinence of
heritage interpretation to cultural heritages, to
both those recognized by local communities
as well as the ones postulated by international
institutions, We argue that even in that context
heritage interpretation remains relevant, when
it is developed through an anthropological
and historical approach and an intercultural
interpretation vision, such as the one offered
by “Meaningful Divulgation”. This is a strategy
derived from Ham´s thematic interpretation and
based on a visitor-centered museology. 

Starting from an anthropological and historical
concept of cultural heritage, it is possible to practice a form of heritage interpretation aimed
to allow citizens a deeper understanding and
enjoyment of the benefits that heritage offers us.
An approach nurtured by the knowledge derived
from anthropology and history, can help us to
combat ethnocentrism and “chronocentrism”,
which are behind many forms of discrimination
and supremacist and colonial discourses. In this
text we present a general outline of such an
approach as well as its relation to intercultural
interpretation.
